Terms of Use & Privacy Policy

This document governs your use of the FinMind service and consists of two parts: the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. By using the service, you are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to the entire contents of this document.

Part I — Terms of Use

1. For Reference Only

All content provided is for educational and reference purposes only. Users are solely responsible for any trading losses incurred from using this data, and we assume no liability for errors, delayed updates, or transmission interruptions in the data.

2. Modification of Service

We reserve the right to temporarily or permanently modify or discontinue the service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice, and may terminate your access to part or all of the service at any time without prior written notice. You agree that we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.

3. Maintenance Window

The server maintenance window is every Sunday from 00:00 to 03:00, during which the service is suspended.

4. Data License Scope and Liability

The data license scope of each plan is defined by the plan description on the sponsor page and the Disclaimer & Data Licensing page. You may not display real-time data directly on public-facing interfaces such as websites or apps, redistribute the raw data to third parties, or build a mirror service substantially equivalent to this service.

Any use beyond the licensed scope is entirely at your own risk: all resulting legal liability rests with the user, and FinMind assumes no responsibility for it.

Part II — Privacy Policy

This policy explains how FinMind handles data when providing financial-data query services through its API and AI tools (such as a Custom GPT, MCP server, etc.).

5. Scope

This policy applies to your use of FinMind's public data query interfaces. The content provided is for educational and reference purposes only; for data accuracy and use of results, please refer to Part I — Terms of Use.

6. Data We Process

To respond to your query, the service processes the query content you submit (such as dataset name, identifier, and date range) and the access credential (token) used to authenticate access.

7. How We Use Data

The above data is used only for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your query and return the corresponding financial data
  • To authenticate access and apply the corresponding usage plan
  • For operation, security, and quality improvement of the service

8. What We Do Not Do

  • We do not sell your personal data
  • We do not use the data for purposes unrelated to the service

9. Third-Party Platforms

When you use the service through a third-party AI platform (such as ChatGPT), your interaction with that platform is governed by that platform's own privacy policy and is outside the scope of this policy.

10. Data Security

The service applies reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data it processes. Please keep your access credential secure and avoid disclosing it.

11. Updates to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time as the service evolves; the updated version will be posted on this page.
