1. Data Sources and Licensing Basis

All data provided by FinMind comes from publicly available disclosure channels operated by the original data providers themselves, including government open data platforms, central banks, and statistical agencies. FinMind does not use data obtained through any non-public channel.

For data obtained via government open data platforms, FinMind uses such data under the Open Government Data License of Taiwan. This license is a public license granted by government agencies for their open data; it grants users the right to use the data for any purpose, without limitation as to time or territory, on a non-exclusive, irrevocable, and royalty-free basis. Permitted uses include reproduction, distribution, public transmission, public broadcasting, public recitation, public presentation, public performance, editing, and adaptation, including but not limited to the development of derivative works in the form of any product or service. The license is compatible with the internationally adopted CC BY 4.0 licensing framework.

All other data is used in accordance with the public disclosure or open data rules published by each original data provider.

The basis of FinMind's lawful use is the public licensing framework described above; FinMind is not an authorized distributor of any data provider, nor does it represent the position of any data provider.

2. Attribution

In accordance with the attribution requirements of the Open Government Data License, FinMind identifies the original providing agency of each dataset in its user documentation.

If you use data obtained through this service for external-facing purposes, you should likewise attribute the original providing agency in an appropriate manner, in accordance with the applicable license terms.

3. Scope of Your License

  1. What FinMind grants you is the right to use this service (API / SDK); its scope is defined by the FinMind Terms of Use and the plan you subscribe to.
  2. This license does not include redistributing or reselling the data provided by this service, nor building a mirror service substantially equivalent to this service.
  3. If you need to publish the data, redistribute it, or provide it to third parties, you are responsible for confirming and obtaining any license required by the original data provider. Such licenses cannot be granted by FinMind, nor obtained by FinMind on your behalf.

  1. All data provided by this service is for reference only and does not constitute investment advice, an offer, or a recommendation of any financial product. You bear all risks and consequences of any decision made based on data from this service.
  2. FinMind makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data beyond the form in which it was originally disclosed. Data may change due to corrections, supplementary filings, or format adjustments by the original providers; for critical use cases, we recommend reconciling against the original sources.
  3. This service may be suspended, interrupted, or adjusted due to system maintenance, changes at data sources, or force majeure. FinMind assumes no liability for damages arising therefrom.
